Just a head's up:

For all you Kindle Unlimited users out there: my first book is up and available for you to read for free!  Yes, that is correct.  You too can indulge in the wild and wonderful world of Rainey Monroe for no more than a couple hours of your time.  Don't think you'll even regret it, promise.

For anyone who is wondering about my books (that is probably not a lot of you, given the time that's gone by), the second one is currently available for pre-order.  If you're interested, it is also on Kindle Unlimited.  Go nuts!  Read them both!  They are chock-full of vampires, werewolves, were-hummingbirds, goblins, telepaths, fairies, ogres, and all kinds of folks.  This sentence probably sounds like I'm kidding, but I'm totally not.  It makes for an interesting little world.

I've also started trying to reach out to people on twitter, if you're wondering who I am.  And this weekend sometime I will probably try and straighten out Goodreads, too.  Whew!  It's a lot of work picking up something after six years.

Check out my second book, available for preorder, here:

Inconceivable!

That word means what I think it means, too. I can't believe I haven't posted here since 2011.

I mean, I can... But I can't. I knew, technically/logically/what have you-y that I published Rainey's first book six years ago or so... I knew that. But I guess I didn't internalize how long ago that really was.

At any rate, I'm back at it again.

I published a lot of books between now and then, under a different name, in a different genre.  It's been a blast--a very fun little hobby.  But I don't feel that way about the Rainey series; I've always been more emotionally invested in these books, which makes them harder to share and harder to let go of.  Putting her back out there in the world is scary in a way that just isn't with other books.

::cracks knuckles::

That said?  I'm doing it.  The first four are all going to be published by the end of the year, and if they actually sell a couple of copies I'm going to invest in some more advanced covers and publishing as paperbacks.  Why not?  Because I'm chicken?

Well, I am, but I'm going to do it anyway.  Rainey would be all about that.

Lovely to see you again, little world--
J
